File permissions getting changed.

I think it has already been pointed out the some dirs in the tarball
don't have execute permission set. But, what I have noticed is that
mods/BF1942/Settings/Profiles/{Default,Custom}
directories execute bit gets removed at some time during runtime or when
it crashes.. Don't know what really is happening. But I do know that I
checked the permissions before starting the server and now they don't
have the execute bit set.

just connected and played a round, but after the map was finished, I
think 
the server crashed.
Pings were pretty stable.

Tried my own server on a Gentoo-1.4-rc1 Box (P3-500, 256MB), ran the
server 
out-of-the-box with a normal user
and was able to connect and play, after the map was finished, the
message 
"Connection problems" appeared shortly but then was able to continue to 
play.
