[bf1942] crashes on connect/mapchange...

I too am having a crash when someone tries to connect.  Not sure about
mapchange.  However, I 'was' able to connect successfully from my home
system, so this case coudl be isolated.

Linux version 2.4.17 (root at cobra) (gcc version 2.95.4 (Debian prerelease))
