  I used this guide:

  http://www.americasarmy.com/support/faq_win.php?p=1&t=12

  Which helped me create the following:

  My server.ini, which goes in armyops/System:

  http://www.sh.nu/download/games/server.ini

  My dedicated server script (armyops servers crash often...you'll want
this):

  #!/bin/bash
  cd /usr/local/games/armyops/System
  while [ 1 ]; do
          ./server-bin global SFHospital -nohomedir -INI=server.ini
  done

  Save that to /usr/local/games/armyops/ded, chmod +x ded, ./ded (preferably
in screen).

  My armyops firewall settings:

  # ArmyOps on the last IP
  $IPTABLES -A INPUT -i eth0 -p udp -d 216.239.132.110/32 --dport 1716 -j
ACCEPT
  $IPTABLES -A INPUT -i eth0 -p udp -d 216.239.132.110/32 --dport 1717 -j
ACCEPT
  $IPTABLES -A INPUT -i eth0 -p udp -d 216.239.132.110/32 --dport 1718 -j
ACCEPT
  $IPTABLES -A INPUT -i eth0 -p udp -d 216.239.132.110/32 --dport 8777 -j
ACCEPT
  $IPTABLES -A INPUT -i eth0 -p udp -d 216.239.132.110/32 --dport 27900 -j
ACCEPT
  $IPTABLES -A INPUT -i eth0 -p tcp -d 216.239.132.110/32 --dport 14200 -j
ACCEPT
  $IPTABLES -A INPUT -i eth0 -p tcp -d 216.239.132.110/32 --dport 20045 -j
ACCEPT

  Lastly, my server:

  $ qstat -uns irc.sh.nu:1716

  ADDRESS PLAYERS MAP RESPONSE TIME NAME
  irc.sh.nu:1716         26/26 SF Hospital     59 / 0
AAGP_GameTeamObjective -= Primer's ArmyOps - Linux =-

  Ok, so there really aren't 26 people on right now...but there have been,
and most likely it'll be packed tonight. :)

  Hope this helps,

  Daniel Ceregatti (AKA Primer)

Zannox,

OK  =)  Just making sure!

I am searching right now for a linux server set up guide. I installed the
2.0 version, got it running server side, but couldn't connect to it from
various locations (i.e. clan members couldn't connect)

Soo. I am going to install the new patch, which I understand only fixes a
few minor bugs and adds one new sf map (cool!) - but I wanted to have the
latest how to for linux on hand before I start.

I have been through the americasarmy.com forums but, it's deader there than
this list I think! (feciously spoken)

Anyone got a link to a linux server setup how-to or guide?

Thanks!

./Starkness

We see that you just joined so hopefully the powers that be will take
      it> easy on you.
    You have no way of knowing that we've 'just' been through this
conversation.

Here's an excerpt from a very recent post.:

Well, there is no WWW archive, but you can always get old mail
      through> ezmlm commands.
    #v+
Here is a list of the command addresses supported:

Send mail to the following for info and FAQ for this list:
   <armyops-info at icculus.org>
   <armyops-faq at icculus.org>

To get messages 123 through 145 (a maximum of 100 per request), mail:
   <armyops-get.123_145 at icculus.org>

To get an index with subject and author for messages 123-456, mail:
   <armyops-index.123_456 at icculus.org>

To receive all messages with the same subject as message 12345,
send an empty message to:
   <armyops-thread.12345 at icculus.org>

The messages do not really need to be empty, but I will ignore
their content. Only the ADDRESS you send to is important.
#v-

Hope that helps.

      must mean nobody is signing up or nobody is having issues... :)
