Subject: Re: [armyops] Could not load OpenGL library

Redhat 9 used /usr/lib/tls/libGL* and required that this lib be
specified, even though /usr/lib/libGL* existed. I suggest this:

in ~/.armyops/System/ArmyOps.ini, under the
[OpenGLDrv.OpenGLRenderDevice] section, add:

OpenGLLibName=/usr/lib/tls/libGL.so

(or libGL.so.1, whatever you have)

The above presumes the syntax hasn't changed from the Unreal Tournament
syntax. I can find no such variable in my ArmyOps.ini.

Daniel Ceregatti (AKA Primer)

mrmailer wrote:

>yes, it is on fedora.
>
>here are the gl libs in /usr/lib...
>
>ls -la |grep "GL"
>drwxr-xr-x    2 root     root         4.0K Aug  3 03:13 GL
>lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           21 Aug 17 03:44 libGLcore.so.1 -> libGLcore.so.1.0.4496
>-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root         4.9M Aug 17 03:44 libGLcore.so.1.0.4496
>lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           32 Nov  6 16:48 libGL.so -> ../../usr/X11R6/lib/libGL.so.1.2
>lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           17 Nov  6 16:13 libGL.so.1 -> libGL.so.1.0.4496
>-rwxr-xr-x    1 root     root         414K Aug 17 03:44 libGL.so.1.0.4496
>lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           33 Nov  6 16:48 libGLU.so -> ../../usr/X11R6/lib/libGLU.so.1.3
>lrwxrwxrwx    1 root     root           33 Nov  6 16:20 libGLU.so.1 -> ../../usr/X11R6/lib/libGLU.so.1.3
>
>
>
>
> --- On Thu 11/20, mrmailer < mrmailer at myway.com > wrote:
>From: mrmailer [mailto: mrmailer at myway.com]
>To: armyops at icculus.org
>Date: Thu, 20 Nov 2003 18:03:33 -0500 (EST)
>Subject: RE: [armyops] Could not load OpenGL library
>
>

yes

--- On Thu 11/20, Andy Mecham < AMecham at nvidia.com > wrote:
From: Andy Mecham [mailto: AMecham at nvidia.com]
To: armyops at icculus.org
Date: Thu, 20 Nov 2003 11:35:20 -0800
Subject: RE: [armyops] Could not load OpenGL library

> name of display: :0.0
> Xlib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0.0".
> display: :0  screen: 0
> direct rendering: No
> server glx vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
> server glx version string: 1.3
> server glx extensions:
>     GLX_EXT_visual_info, GLX_EXT_visual_rating, GLX_SGIX_fbconfig,
>     GLX_SGIX_pbuffer
> client glx vendor string: SGI
> client glx version string: 1.2
> client glx extensions:
>     GLX_EXT_visual_info, GLX_EXT_visual_rating, GLX_EXT_import_context
> GLX extensions:
>     GLX_EXT_visual_info, GLX_EXT_visual_rating
> OpenGL vendor string: NVIDIA Corporation
> OpenGL renderer string: GeForce2 MX/AGP/3DNOW!
> OpenGL version st
> ring: 1.4.0 NVIDIA 44.96
> OpenGL extensions:

Is this on Fedora?

--andy

_______________________________________________
No banners.
