[armyops] crashes

The game thinks he's got a Unicode locale, hence the screwey log file. To
read it:

  tr -d '\0' < ArmyOps.log |less

So...start the game with -nosound:
   ./armyops-bin -nosound

and it won't try to do any audio (and won't even load openal.so).

Just a guess. See if he still crashes.
