Thanks, I've taken a look at the patches, they look good AFAICT. I can't
say anything about the amd64 patch since I don't have such a machine.

The "current" codebase diverged quite a lot from pre6a, I just applied
the manpage patch and checked the one sprintf() use still remaining.
