We don't do news postings to welcome most new icculus.org projects, but I personally think this one is cool, so I wrote this up on their behalf.
Gary Briggs is now hosting a new tool at i.o for logging driving data. You connect to your car's computer through its standard hardware interface, plug in a GPS unit, and then this program stores interesting data to an SQLite database as you drive. You can then turn that data into cool things like this:
Linux and Mac OS X are currently supported.
