02/06/09:

You know what I like about programming? Once that first domino falls,
you can often get a whole series of victories in rapid succession. Which
I did. The Secret Project went from totally unusable to screenshots of
main menu to playable missions in the course of a week.

  Wow.

I'm *so* pleased with this :-)

02/06/06:

Whoa, OK, it's the less-than-monthly uninteresting .plan update!

My teeth have been refitted (yay). For all you young'uns who aren't
taking care of yours: DO SO. If you think the preventative is bad, try
the fixing when they start falling apart. Actually, better, DON'T. I
lucked into a very caring dentist with modern techniques -- what would
traditionally be a root canal + crown turned into an overlay (no root
canal) and rebuild. And it was bad enough.

That column that went around a couple years ago? FLOSS! Yeah. Do
it. You'll be better for it in the long run. (It's like a car, you can
keep running the engine without the periodic things like oil changes and
basic maintenance, but it'll crap out on you in the end. It's cheaper
to change the oil than to replace the oil pump. And if the entire engine
seizes up, it's *REALLY* worse.

  OK, off the soap box.

(Maybe I can pass the full story on to Andrew H., and he can turn it
into something actually funny...)

Katie has been finding cool stuff at the markets, and looks like
watermelons are now in season. Yay! We're getting on a much healthier
diet, and it should pay off.

My employer is presently still in business, and it looks like we
*might* finally deliver our hardware. So this job might actually have
another couple laps in it :-) Sadly, everyone is still on edge anyways.
